The Commission for the Accreditation of Birth Centers is a national accrediting agency that holds birth centers to a standard of excellence in care for their clients. Every three years, accredited centers receive a site visit to review the operations and safety of the facility, staff credentials and training, and all aspects of client care, In Juneau, this includes interviews with our supportive physicians and staff at Bartlett Regional Hospital. Being accredited in 2006 and re-accredited every three years is an extremely rigorous process involving much staff time and dedication, and we are very proud to say that the CABC awarded JFHBC full accreditation once again! To learn more about what accreditation means, check out CABC’s website.
